Apple Pie Filling


Seriously, this is not a blog about canning!  But with the girl on no screen time we are old schooling it!  So with another run to the store, we were off and running with apples.  A couple of years ago I canned several quarts of apple pie filling and they were delicious.  We used most of them to make apple cobbler, delicious!

We peeled, cored and sliced fifteen pounds of apples and with ten cups of sugar and spices we had sixteen quarts of apple pie filling! The house smells like Christmas goodness!
