A quick history lesson for the grandparents who don't have teen girls. Gilmore Girls was a fast-paced television show filmed on Warner Brother Studios lot from 2001-2007.
The show follows single mother Lorelai Gilmore and her daughter, also named Lorelai but who prefers to be called Rory, living in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. The town is filled with colorful characters and is located approximately 30 minutes from Hartford.
Since the show was cancelled, fans have eagerly awaited a reunion show or something to bring closure for the fans. Netflix released four episode of the miniseries is set in Stars Hollow this weekend!
The Bailey hosted a watch party today for the girls and moms for the reunion episodes! The Gilmore girls are known for their love of junk food and lots of it. So in keeping with the show we had a spread of pizza, tacos, Chinese, pop tarts, mini donuts, Red Vines, tater tots and more! Lorelai and Rory would have been so proud!
Frankie, Hannah, Gracie, Ella and Abigail watched with great delight as their favorite characters were brought back to life. All of the old favorites from Rory's old boyfriends to the colorful residence of Stars Hollow made appearances. There were a few life choice this Christian mom wishes that Hollywood didn't have to bring into the mix. But I thoroughly enjoyed the time with friends, the warm hospitality and an evening with the girls!
