After Christmas is a great time to buy spiral ham and ham roasts on sale. At Aldi's their ham roasts cost about $1.70 per pound, but today only there was an additional $3 off per roast. I bought eleven pounds of ham for $12!
They were completely cooked bone in hams. Jon pulled out the electric knife and sliced up servings of ham for sandwiches. He also chopped up several pounds of meat to be used in soups or beans.
I sealed up the ham in my Food Saver and labeled it to store in the freezer. I bagged up the ham bones and fat to use for bone broth tomorrow.
