Triple Crown Sports is hosting the 25th Annual Ronald McDonald Tournament this weekend. Abigail's 18U select team, TeamSmith competed in two games today.
Abigail caught for the first game with two at bats. It was a hard fought game with a final score 3-2, a loss for TeamSmith. In the second game, Abigail was the DH (designated hitter). They had a good game and were really playing like a cohesive team. TeamSmith for the win 4-2.
In the evening the team went out for dinner at Mamacita's Mexican Restaurant. It gave the girls the opportunity to bond off of the softball field that will hopefully translate into better teamwork on the field. Tomorrow brings on two more showcase games!
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
