Our study of First Samuel is moving right along! The kids have now made it through the first eight chapters. We've heard Hannah's prayer and seen God answer with the Birth of Samuel. We've seen Israel treat God with disrespect as the brought the Ark into battle without asking God. We've seen the Ark captured and returned. In chapter 7 we saw God fight mightily for Israel only to see Israel turn around in chapter 8 to ask for a King when God was supposed to be their King!
Next Sunday we begin learning about Israel's first king, Saul. I'm so proud of these kids for all their hard work. I'm very grateful for all the parent helpers who help me get through class with such a big group of kids.
That day the Lord thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelites. 1 Samuel 7:10
