Old Red Museum - Order in the Court

Today was a repeat of one of my favorite field trips from the past, the Old Red Museum of Dallas County History and Culture. We visited in 2008, 2009 and 2010. The museum itself is only four years old and it has defiantly married the beauty of the historic with the modern interactive exhibits.

Today many of our PEACH home school friends participated in Old Red's 'Order in the Court'.  The fourth thru seventh graders take part as judge, jury, bailiff, lawyers and witnesses in Old Red's 1892 restored courtroom.

Abigail played the role as the defendant in the case and was defended by two friends from Drama Club.  She took the stand answered questions and even pulled out a tearful plea worthy of any Perry Mason episode!  It was a civil case and all charges against her were dropped!

Follow justice and justice alone,
so that you may live and possess
the land the LORD your God is giving you.
Deuteronomy 16:20
