Baguettes and Bowls

The other day I bought a bag of yellow onions on sale so today I looked up ideas for five pounds of onions.  French Onion Soup was the winner!  It was always one of my favorite dishes that my mom would serve.

With onions sauteed, packed in jars and then covered with beef broth.  The soup is processed in the pressure cooker. The 5 pounds of onions yielded 6 pints of soup.  Now all we need is some baguettes and mozzarella cheese!

We remember the fish we ate in Egypt that cost nothing, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic.  Numbers 11:5
