We just may be ready for the coming apocalypse, with all the canning I've been doing! Today the girl was taking the SAT so I looked around for something to can. It needed to be something simple, and something that we would actually use.
The first winner was grape jelly. Who doesn't like a PB&J, especially if it's made with homemade jelly. Grape jelly is probably the easiest jelly to make. With only three ingredients: grape juice, sugar and pectin. It's eye opening when you realize that jelly is 3 cups of juice and 5 cups of sugar!
