Last week HSAA scrimmaged against Ursuline Academy. It was a good warm up for both teams to allow all the players to hit and check them out at various positions. Now tonight was game time!

HSAA Angels Varsity Grabs Lead In Second Inning For Victory Over Ursuline Academy
HSAA Angels Varsity took the lead late and defeated Ursuline Academy 18-8 on Tuesday. The game was tied at three with HSAA Angels Varsity batting in the top of the second when an error scored one run for HSAA Angels Varsity.
The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. HSAA Angels Varsity collected 15 hits and Ursuline Academy had ten.
In the bottom of the first inning, Ursuline Academy tied things up at three. #4 drove in one when she singled.
HSAA Angels Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Emma Durham singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run and Teresa Bless singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
HSAA Angels Varsity put up 12 runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught came from walks by Kaitlyn Callaway, Durham, Bless, Simone Bergeron, and Audrey Husek, singles by Abigail Ratliff and Sarah Durham, an error on a ball put in play by
Abigail Kirkwood, and a double by Elise Bonenberger.
Ursuline Academy scored three runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by Ursuline Academy was led by #9, #14, and #13, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Durham was on the mound for HSAA Angels Varsity. She lasted two innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out two.
#12 started the game for Ursuline Academy. She allowed nine hits and six runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one. #10 threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
HSAA Angels Varsity totaled 15 hits in the game.
Kirkwood, Durham, Callaway, Bonenberger, Bergeron, and Durham each managed multiple hits for HSAA Angels Varsity. Durham, Bergeron, Bonenberger, Callaway, Durham, and
Kirkwood each collected two hits to lead HSAA Angels Varsity.
