While we were downtown yesterday for the symphony we also stopped by the Dallas Museum of Art. They had several exhibits up that we hadn't seen. It really was strange art. One exhibit was Gabriel Orozco's Inner Circles of the Wall. It was an empty room with broken pieces of drywall, with one circle drawn in pencil on each broken piece. Their was a 'Karaoke killed the DJ' exhibit, Phil Collins, one of a 20' man made of blue chalk looking a 2" plastic figure, titled "Reflections of a Man."
It gave us the opportunity to discuss abstract art! Oh well, next week the J.M.W. Turner exhibit opens and we can see some real artwork!
