Following a morning of Hobbit related events with our home school friends we then headed to Speaker's Club. Today they were given table topics to 'sell' the Christmas ornament they received in the ornament exchange.
Later in the meeting Ms. Hansen randomly paired off the kids and as it turned out Caleb and Abigail were paired together. They were given five minute to take a well known story and change it up the way it should have been written. Funny enough, Caleb and Abigail were given, 'The Wizard of Oz,' as the story to be re-written. The instructions included not only to re-write the story but to dramatically present their new tale. Did I mention they did this with five minutes of prep time! Funny kids, make me smile!
