Happy Lord's Day

This afternoon was to be the third day of the Ronald McDonald tournament but because of the torrential downpour in Houston all games were cancelled today.  This meant that Jon and Abigail could drive back to Plano after church services.

Frankie and I drove back on Saturday so that she could help in the four year old class and I could teach Bible Bowl.  Jon and Abigail worshiped with the Lakewood congregation.  The auditorium is being refurbished.  They have pulled up all the wooden theater seats, new carpeting is coming this week.  For services this morning they had out the new seating.

Jon and Abigail made it back to Plano in time to join our Life Group at the Christian Care Center for dinner.  The Life Group families brought dinner for the residents.  After dinner we enjoyed about an hour of singing hymns to the Lord.  It was amazing to see the joy in the residents singing of an anticipation of a heavenly reward.

Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Ephesians 5:19-20
