Tomorrow Jon and I will celebrate 25 years of marriage. That doesn't even seem possible! The older I get the more I'm reminded of how quickly life passes by.
Twenty-five years ago in the church where Jon grew up and was baptized my Uncle David married us on the Friday night before Memorial Day. It was a hot Oklahoma summer evening and the air conditioner had gone out in the part of the building where the reception was being held. A sweet four year old Frankie walked down the aisle as our flower girl, who wasn't at all happy when Jon kissed her 'Ms. Lisa.'
So many fun memories of that day, and it's almost surreal that it was twenty five years ago. I'm still crazy about this guy and feel so unbelievably blessed for the life we've shared! Here's to another twenty-five years!
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. James 4:14
