Friendship and Heartache

This is my church, homeschool, Bible bowl, Metro Relief volunteering friend Ms. Stacy’s house. Last week Stacy & Todd and their five kiddos were on vacation in Florida when lightning struck their home in Allen, TX. Jon and the kids I spent today with many other friends trying to salvage what we could. The house is a total loss, but my sweet friend, her hubby and the kiddos are safe!

One of the most inspiring moments was as Todd was talking about one of the older kids asking, 'why our house,' Todd explained, 'out of all the houses in the neighborhood it hit the one house with no family inside.'

With that mind set I know the family will be ok.  It certainly puts everything in perspective.  The family was surrounded today by friends who will be with them through the coming months to get them back on their feet!

But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.  Hebrews 3:6
