When we were at the farmers market picking up sugar pumpkins we saw these beautiful baskets of blackberries. We picked up several pints to bring home. I've never made blackberry jam but when we began looking up recipes I was surprised to find out the jam is equal portions of berries and sugar, what's not to like about that! The only other addition is a little lemon juice and pectin.
We found several recipes, some include straining out seeds others include leaving in the seeds. We went with straining out some seeds, but I think the seeds add to the texture of blackberry jam.
If you enter your neighbor’s vineyard, you may eat all the grapes you want, but do not put any in your basket. Deuteronomy 23:24
