Spelling Competition

Our PEACH friends began preparing for the National Spelling Bee.  In competition today the home schooled kids completed for the top spot to compete in the district competition.

PEACH had 14 spellers, and the competition was tight! After 16 rounds, Cathryn was declared the champion after she spelled "interminableness" correctly. James was the runner-up. This is the second year in a row that these two have been champion and runner-up of the PEACH Spelling Bee.

Cathryn will proceed to the Collin County Spelling Bee that will take place on February 1st, 6 P.M. at the Heritage High School Auditorium in Frisco.

Abigail and I went to support our church families/Bible Bowl/homeschooling friends the Hunts and the Sears.  Both families competed today and Ms. Hunt organized the event.  Great job ladies!

Ezra came up from Babylon. He was a teacher well versed in the Law of Moses, which the Lord, the God of Israel, had given. The king had granted him everything he asked, for the hand of the Lord his God was on him. Ezra 7:6
