My Boys

One of the blessing of having the boy home from college is that he's here to hang out with Jon.  I know Jon's missed 'projecting' with his boy.  Today the two of them took on the water pump in our dishwasher.

The dishwasher had stopped getting the dishes clean, in fact the soap pod wasn't even dissolving.  The guys did a little research and after eliminating the heating element they set about replacing the water pump.

These two have taken on plumbing, electrical, flooring, and all kinds of home improvement projects.  Between the library and the Internet I think they could manage any project.  They are kindred spirits in their desire to learn new things. Not every project works out exactly as planned but in the end, they've acquired new skills and knowledge.

Lazy hands make for poverty,
    but diligent hands bring wealth.
He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son,
but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
Proverbs 10:4-5
