After six hours of driving the boy made it home for Thanksgiving. He still had to take an online test yesterday to get class credit, but he's home. His work load is heavy this time of year as papers and projects are due beginning next week because finals begin the following week.
We squeezed in all the time together that we could. Some of that time meant he was busy with homework while we kept him fed and starred longingly at him! Because that's not creepy!
Since it was just the five of us, the kids voted for a ham for Thanksgiving dinner. I was able to heat it up in the roaster, freeing up my oven for other yummy goodness.
For breakfast it was our traditional healthy holiday breakfast with sausage balls and chocolate donuts! Lunch was all of our favorites including sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, yeast rolls, mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy. It was a carb lovers dream come true! This mom was thankful to have all of her babies home and to be able to spoil them with a leisurely day filled with their favorite foods and good conversation.
You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion,
and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 2 Corinthians 9:11
